BOURNEMOUTH CLINCH POLE POSITION IN PLAY-OFFS

 
Bournemouth are guaranteed the top seeding in the NatWest Under-16 Indoor Cricket Championship play-offs on April 11 after winning their last two matches.

They thrashed Ventnor by 76 runs before avenging two Dorset League defeat by arch rivals Parley Sports to finish top of the log.

Bournemouth piled up 150-2 before Ventnor collapsed from 62-0 to 74 all out – Alex Leftwich and Jake Hurley each taking two wickets.

Ryan Scott (45) and George Russell (26) led the way as the Chapel Gate youngsters made 114-5 before restricting Parley to 95-4.

Parley lie second in the table after crushing Ventnor (69 all out) by six wickets.
